Overview
POSCO-MKPC Sdn Bhd (“MKPC”), formerly known as “Posmmit Steel Centre Sdn Bhd” and “Summit Steel Centre Sdn Bhd”, is a strategic joint-venture between POSCO, the world’s most competitive steel company, and PRESTAR RESOURCES BERHAD, a public listed company on main board of Bursa Malaysia.
The name "MKPC" stands for Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Processing Centre.
MKPC was incorporated on 5 January, 1996 with the mission of penetrates Malaysia steel processing market. POSCO invested 30% shares in 2002 and becomes the major shareholder in 2008 with 70% shares.
We have 2 factories (Rawang and Port Klang) equiped with state-of-the-art facilities to ensure customer's needs are met adequately. Our products can be used in wide range of industries such as high end automotive, electrical and electronic, construction, general market and etc.
