Overview
POSCO‑MKPC Sdn Bhd is a strategic joint venture between POSCO, a global leader in the steel industry, and PRESTAR RESOURCES BERHAD, a public company listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia. The acronym MKPC stands for Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Processing Centre.
The company was incorporated on 5 January 1996 to capture and grow Malaysia’s steel processing market. POSCO acquired a 30% equity interest in 2002 before increasing its stake to 70% in 2008 to become the majority shareholder.
Driven by a mandate to advance Malaysia’s steel processing capabilities, MKPC operates state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities designed to ensure consistent quality and reliable delivery. We supply high-grade processed steel products to a broad spectrum of industries, including:
